Chris has been working as Showrunner on Amsterdam-based detective series VAN DER VALK (Company Pictures/All3 Media) which he created, sells to over 90 countries and is into its fifth Season. Simultaneously he co-created Cote d’Azur based detective series CANNES CONFIDENTIAL (Viaplay/TF1). He is developing an occult detective series, THE SOUL HUNTER (Stampede Ventures/CBS International) and continues to write for MIDSOMER MURDERS (Company Pictures/All3 Media) and AGATHA RAISIN (Company Pictures/Free At Last). Previously, for the BBC he created police series MERSEYBEAT, which ran for four Seasons, and medical series DOCTORS. A decade ago, he took time out to do a Masters Degree in Western Esotericism (the study of alternative belief systems and the occult) and now aims to work predominantly on ideas with a magical or supernatural element.
