Robyn Grant

Robyn is a writer, director and performer from Leeds. After graduating from East 15, she set up her company Fat Rascal Theatre and toured the country with her own work, becoming an associate company to The Birmingham Hippodrome and Southampton MAST.

Theatre credits include: Thespians (for Mischief Theatre, UK Tour- Director); Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch (The Other Palace, UK Tour – director/co-writer, nominated for Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Best Musical Theatre Book Writing); The Battle (Birmingham Rep – associate director); The Hunger Games on Stage (Troubadour Canary Wharf – creative assistant director); Dealer’s Choice (Donmar – associate director); The Jingleclaw (Birmingham Hippodrome – writer, nominated for Best Show for Children and Young People, UK Theatre Awards 2025); 2:22 A Ghost Story (West End, Dublin 3Olympia, UK tour – associate director); The Lightning Thief (Chichester Conservatoire – director); Waiter There’s a Murder in My Soup (Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre – writer/director); Beauty and the Beast (King’s Head Theatre – writer/director); Vulvarine (King’s Head Theatre – writer/director); BUZZ: A New Musical (The Pleasance – writer). 

Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch received its first international production at Östgötateatern, Sweden in 2025, and will open in several more territories worldwide later this year.
