Kate Delin

Kate began her working life as an orchid potter – alone in a shed and thinking about stories.  Her first screenplay (Apocalypse As Well As Other Problems) was picked up and developed with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and Warner Sisters Film and TV Ltd (UK).  Her second (The Horoscope) gave her a platform for television, where she has worked consistently since 2004.   Her third and fourth screenplays (Where The Men Are and The Wild Seed) were selected for the prestigious Moonstone International Screenwriters’ Lab (Halle and Wartburg, Germany) – the latter also selected for TAPS (long form drama development workshop) in 2008.   She spent 2010 developing her romcom with US film company Rosen Obst Productions (unfortunately, not made).   Since then, she has participated in comedy table writing for sitcom My Family at DLT Entertainment, been selected for the BBC’s Continuing Drama Series workshop at Elstree, also written more than forty-five episodes of television drama.   Her first play was chosen as a finalist at Script Space VI at the Tobacco Factory Theatre in Bristol.   Along the way, she did an MA in Screenwriting at London College of Communication, London University of the Arts.  Currently, she is developing original ideas for television.
